A 4-point AES-72 patchbay you can drop into any rack.
The TP3F is a 4-point patchbay slice with RJ-45 trunk connections. Fully-normalled, with 1/4" jacks configurable as either inputs or outputs. Also useful as an RJ-45 to 1/4" adapter.
Mount six units to an HF100 tray for a full 24-point patchbay in 1U. Also mounts to the HF101.
Use it for
Building a studio patchbay over standard Cat cable, without DB25 looms or soldering
Patching a keyboard rig into a rack without a permanent install
No soldering, no custom wiring, no crimping. The TP3F's 1/4" jacks accept standard TRS cables from your gear β plug them in like any other patchbay. The RJ-45 trunk connections use the same jack format as your home router; if you've ever plugged in an Ethernet cable, you already know the motion. Screw the unit into your rack, connect your gear to the front, run Cat cable out the back. That's the whole install.
Nothing here is permanent. Patching is meant to be changed β that's the point of a patchbay. If a connection isn't right, unplug it and try again. There's no rewiring, no re-soldering, no risk of "locking in" a mistake.
Contact us directly. No tiered support tickets, no forms to fill out first β you're talking to the team that builds the gear.
Every purchase is backed by a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee β on top of the one year warranty against defects. Try it in your setup. If it's not the right fit, send it back.
Yes. Every Ashton Research product is covered by a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
If something goes wrong, contact us. No forms, no return authorization numbers, no hoops. We'll make it right.
We build this gear to last well beyond the warranty period β but if it doesn't, that's on us.
The TP3F has 4 patch points on the front, each carrying a full AES-72 connection (4 balanced channels per point). That's 16 channels of analog audio in a compact patchbay format.
Yes. Use TFP8/TRP8 adapters to bring TRS signals into the AES-72 world, and the TP3F handles the patching from there. Many studios run a hybrid setup during transition.
